HITGuard offers the possibility to generate reports for controls under "Controls → Reports".

To create a report, first choose a type of report. Subsequently, choose which data to include in the report (e.g. hazard situations or audits). Most reports also have additional report options which allow further specification of the report's contents.
Languages:
Knowledge bases may be available in different languages if there are defined translations for specific knowledge bases. For example, to generate a report with English texts, the language must be changed via the flag icon in the top right corner of the screen, next to the logout button. This will load all content for the reports in the desired language, provided that a translation in that language is available for the knowledge base.
Download options:
Reports are available for download as PDF or DOCX files. To generate a report and download it, click on the pink button. Then, you can choose whether to download the report as PDF or DOCX.
Additionally, there is the option to generate and archive the reports including revision information. In doing this, the report can be viewed, generated anew, or downloaded again by an expert under "Administration → Report archive". More information about this can be found under "Administration → Report archive".
When generating reports with revision information in the archive, there is also the option to send the report by e-mail to various recipients right away. More information about this can be found in the report archive and under "Administration → Text blocks".
Remembering report options: Some of the report options can be found for various reports. For these, the selected options are remembered within the management system and for the individual user, and then also applied for other reports with that same option. For example, if the option "Table of contents" is selected, then it will already be selected when accessing any other report pages that use this option.
Licenses:
If no valid license for HITGuard is available, this will be displayed in the footer of the report! To change this, an expert or administrator has to request/upload a license under "Administration → Licensing".
The following reports are offered in the controls section of HITGuard:
Control report for standard/norm
This report lists the linked control definitions for a selected standard/norm. The statistic and execution protocol, if selected, include all finished, failed, and possibly irrelevant controls.
Report options
- Management system (compliance manager only): This option defines which management system the report is generated for.
- Analysis period: This option defines which analysis period the controls in the report are from.
- Statistic: This option adds an execution statistic for each control definition to the report.
- Execution protocol: This option adds the execution protocol for each control definition to the report.
- Irrelevant control executions: If this option is selected, controls in the state irrelevant are considered in the statistic/execution protocol. Otherwise, those are not calculated or displayed.
- Remarks: This adds the remarks from the control definition to the report.
- Include not applicable chapters in the statistics: This option adds those chapters to the report that were originally marked as not applicable in the management system.
The remaining options are used to configure the additional report contents, such as table of contents and appendices.

Control report
This report lists the execution log of all controls in chronological order for the selected control definition(s).
Report options
- Statistic: With this option, the execution statistic of the controls is printed for every control definition.
- Execution protocol: This option adds the execution protocol for each control definition to the report.
- Irrelevant control executions: If this option is selected, controls in the state irrelevant are considered in the statistic/execution protocol. Otherwise, those are not calculated or displayed.
The remaining options are used to configure the additional report contents, such as table of contents and appendices.

Control test template
This report is special report which contains solely the active control definitions linked with a standard/norm (for example ISAE 3402) and a testing protocol for each of them. It is a simplified version of the control report for standard/norm. It allows the organization or a partner of theirs to test their controls and protocol the test results.
The report can only be downloaded as a Word file and in terms of content or visually does not correspond to the usual format of HITGuard report exports or the design settings configured under "Administration → Global settings". It contains an individual table for each chapter of the standard/norm that has assigned controls. Each table, in turn, contains the description of the chapter, all linked control definitions under "Control measures", as well as columns for both "Test description" and "Test results".
The reports Control report and Control report for standard/norm can be used for overviews of control definitions with expanded contents, the customary options, and the customary look.
