The technical version number for manufacturer knowledge bases can, for example, be specified as “Version 2 Customization No. 1”. This notation refers to:

1. the manufacturer's version number in the first position. This is a simple number and is already visible during the first import.
2. If you have created a custom adaptation for the knowledge base, the knowledge base is assigned a number for that custom adaptation. It starts at 1. In the knowledge base, you’ll see it listed as “Version 2 Custom Adaptation No. 1,” while in the overview it is displayed as 2.1.
