The degree of dependency is weighted by a percentage value. By default, the dependency relationship is weighted at 100%, but other weightings are also possible. Typically, one arrives at these weightings by conducting a protection needs analysis. HITGuard will translate the results of the protection needs analysis into the weightings of the dependency relationships. The background settings for this function are called “PNA edge weight.” You can find it in the Risk policy.
