Processes

A process is a set of related activities that transform inputs into outputs. A process can be encapsulated and part of another process and/or contain or trigger other processes. Processes often cross departmental and operational boundaries and are part of the process organization of an operation. These process structures can be represented and analyzed in the structural analysis.

Processing activity (only visible in the data protection management system):
- If a processing activity is created, a process is automatically created for it as soon as the processing of it is completed. (default case) Normally, this dropdown is empty, because only processing activities are displayed here that are not linked to a process and a process is automatically created and linked for each processing activity.
- However, if a process has already been generated for this processing activity before it was completed, the generated process for the processing activity can optionally be deleted or the link to the processing activity can be removed. Subsequently, this allows the processing activity, which is now no longer associated with a process, to be associated with another process via this dropdown.
Delete process: To delete in the edit screen, click on the red trash can.
