Schadensausmaße werden in Klassen unterteilt. Die Schadensausmaßklassen orientieren sich an der Risikotragfähigkeit des Unternehmens. Die höchste Schadensausmaßklasse sollte sich daher an dem maximalen, für das Unternehmen tragbaren, Schaden orientieren.

Extent of loss is divided into classes. The loss severity classes are based on the risk-bearing capacity of the company. The highest loss severity class should therefore be based on the maximum loss that the company can bear.
