RTO or Recovery Time Objective indicates how long a business process/system may be unavailable. The RTO specifies the time that may elapse from the moment of damage until the complete restoration of the business processes (restoration of: infrastructure – data – reworking of data – resumption of activities).

Undefined means that the RTO of this resource is no longer relevant.

Secured means that, for example, an SLA or another type of contract exists in which the provider of the resource guarantees a certain RTO. This document can also be stored at this point.

The RTO can be specified in hours but also in minutes. In both cases, the value is then converted into hours and shown as a decimal number in the overview.

Note: The RTO is only displayed for the resource if the protection target RTO is used in the management system.
