Es gibt Fälle in denen es vorgeschrieben ist eine Datenschutz-Folgenabschätzung durchzuführen. Dazu zählen:
* Art. 35 Abs. 3 DSGVO: Betrifft die automatisierte Verarbeitung einschließlich Profiling, die umfangreiche Verarbeitung besonderer Kategorien von personenbezogenen Daten bzw. strafrechtliche Verurteilungen und Straftaten sowie systematische, umfangreiche Überwachung öffentlich zugänglicher Bereiche.
